Back Again!

First, I'd like to state that my hiatus is officially over since I now have a fully functional internet connection. The amount of recap to do is beyond imagining so I'll take my time, skip over some things or summarise VERY BRIEFLY.

Anyway, I'm trying to choose between the University Of Melbourne and Monash University. This decision is driving me nuts. And I know it's partially because I haven't really decided between science and engineering but that's not my fault since I've never actually studied engineering before.

Now all of you snobbish world university rankings fanatics out there will shout "CHOOSE MELB!" Indeed that would seem like the obvious choice... except for the fact that they have restructured their courses so that they are now completely inflexible. Go figure.

So it is a choice between a nice engineering + 2 science majors course at Monash or a single science major at Melbourne and good branding. To even out the competition, the journey to and fro for Melbourne will consume a minimum whole of 2 hours (walk, train, tram) whereas Monash is a 15 minute bus ride away. And I would get to be a guinea pig at Melbourne for their new Melbourne Model. Their course outline isn't even properly drawn out yet!

Your thoughts on the matter? I have until tomorrow to decide. Why do I have the feeling it will be a last minute coin toss? *sigh*
